I have no advice for you... oh maybe you can use one of those long strips of fabric and tie it around her and the carseat?? hmmmmm i don't know.. sorry sweetie..

hmm I like the duct tape idea :)Mojavihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07560029907723621747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204117.post-35551359037318454372008-01-24T13:20:00.000+09:002008-01-24T13:20:00.000+09:00Like you said, I would never drive around with my ...Like you said, I would never drive around with my kids loose in the car even if it's not against the law. It would just make me crazy!

My kids have each figured out how to get out of their carseats when they were about 2. Of course the first time I didn't even notice until we'd reached our destination! But from then on I was more alert.

I don't know why this worked but with each of them, when I saw them starting to get out, I would say, "Sit back in your carseat right now or I'm going to pull over this car". They all stopped doing it. I never even said what I would do once the car was stopped (put them back in their carseat!) but somehow that was enough! Maybe it was the wild look in my eyes!

I think it's just a phase. If you're consistant to put her back in her seat, she'll eventually stop trying.

About the raise, you probably won't get money but I have to share that over the winter holidays, ALL of our kids slept through the night and until 9/9:30 in the morning and we'd even put them to bed around 9pm. It was magical and I felt like I was finally being paid back for all of the sleepless nights that I had experienced over the last 7 years.

Your day will come!Sarah@mommyinjapanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01461367282447656731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204117.post-39021360577310630422008-01-23T20:47:00.000+09:002008-01-23T20:47:00.000+09:00Mine never tried to escape...I think they were too...Mine never tried to escape...I think they were too happy to be going places.

Use the duct tape! ;)Tigermamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07561410317253800677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204117.post-62385858558742517522008-01-23T19:13:00.000+09:002008-01-23T19:13:00.000+09:00My oldest never even tried to get out of the carse...My oldest never even tried to get out of the carseat. Now at 4 1/2 if someone tries to drive without her seatbelt being buckled she screams her head off.

My 18 month old son routinely escapes from his 5 point harness though. I am considering duct tape.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08050270762088395325noreply@blogger.com
