on monday i went back to costco and found that the whole chickens were cheaper than i though (they're on sale). usually they're about a thousand yen, and the already roasted chickens are 998 yen. so, it's just better (and easier) to use the already cooked birds. that's what i did last year. but, at nearly half off the regular price, i bought a whole chicken and decided to make it for thanksgiving.

yoshi wanted to invite his parents, so i decided to make a pumpkin pie in my new oven. it turned out great (on the outside anyway) so i'm so glad we made that purchase. i hope our roasted chicken lunch goes well!
