yesterday we went to fukuoka to get hiroyuki's paperwork in for his passport/report of birth abroad/social security number. we were going to park at a shrine (for 600 yen) but on the way there, i remembered we can park for free at yosh's university, so i suggested we go there. well, yoshi wanted to say hi to some of his professors (only one was there at the time), and then we had lunch at a cafeteria.
then we took the subway to fukuoka. the american cosulate is on ohori-koen. yesterday was so lovely--not too hot, not too cold, not too sunny, not rainy. i would say it was a perfect day. and because it was wednesday, there weren't that many people at 2:45 pm in ohori-koen. ahhhh. we walked around a bit and then went to the consulate. we had to wait for a while, but we finally got our turn. then, it turns out we forgot the pictures! grrr. but, the nice lady behind the desk said we could send them in (thank goodness!!) phew.
then we went to tenjin. i wanted to go to rainbow plaza to get a copy of fukuoka now. while we were in that building, yoshi saw a place where one could donate plasma. he wanted to do it (what a good man), so hiro and i ended up waiting around for him for about two hours. we did a little window shopping (and nursing...) then we went to a book shop and i got a few books. i was really tired by then, so we took the subway back to the university, got in our car, and hiro started to cry (he was hungry again). we ended up at a convenience store (so i could wash my hands) and then i fed hiro in the parking lot. then we were on our way again and made it home around 9 pm. now, i have to go mail those pictures....
