just another picture for today: onsen from the other night. hm, actually, i think i'll add two. we went to a family onsen and they fill the bath each time. so, a pic of the baths filling, and then yoshi and the kids in the pot bath. i call this the oyako-nabe.

Ohh that looks like so much fun Illahee! I want to go and do a private family onsen too, versus just being split up between the guys and the gals. I wonder if they have anything like that around here where I live. You have now inspried me to research a bit on that now. So thanks.

So did you get to stretch out in the big bath while hub and kids were doing the oyakonabe thing?? I hope so. You could probably even sneak in a candle and wine!
I love the oyakonabe pic. I wont't me one of those - Well not exactly. Will put hub, Shou and Marina in instead of your family.
Although - Granny K has warned my 11 week pregnant tum to not have baths that are too hot.

my aunts old neighbors were japanese and they had one in their garage, I was very young and thought it was a pool!

what a wonderful picture....I love family baths...it's just such a special personal time...although I'm an onsen fanatic, I also much prefer the family baths to being split up and having to go with my mother-in-law only to the ladies side...much nicer when Masaaki and I can take a bath together...(something my family in the states can't really understand..lol)
