not doing much around here so nothing to blog about. but we are all happy and healthy. no swine flu, thankyouverymuch. oh, didn't i tell you? since there were reported cases of swine flu in the US, john had to fill out a health survey and then
a doctor had to call EVERY DAY to make sure he was ok. of course, the doctor had my phone number so i had to tell him whether or not my brother was healthy or not. very annoying. although i did feel sorry for the doctor, i mean, it's not like he has anything better to do than to track down tourists and ask if they feel sick from the swine flu. he also seemed taken aback when i told him we went to miyazaki for three days. i mean, didn't we know the swine flu is dangerous? *rolls eyes* anyway, none of us have the flu, so there.
the above photo is from last monday, the last time i took pictures....

Sounds like uncle Johns visit was a good time. I loved it when my brother came over after Shou was born. Best house guest as not married with kids so has no unwanted advice - does what is told, eats everything he gets given and makes the house smell nice with aftershave!!
I love Sasha's hair. I wish Marina's would hurry up and get some length.
Having to be called everyday is simply nuts! This swine flu thing is just crazy!
Sounds kind of like what Naoki has to do everyday too - just because we went to Australia!! It does drive you insane doesn't it!
That is a really lovely photo with the backlit hair!
Bum to the swine flu panickers. It is so remotely likely that you have it right now. Though they say that the next flu season in the winter will really show an explosion in cases, and probably a pandemic then....
You got the doctor calling?
One of DHs colleagues came back from Taiwan (no reported cases but he was on an airplane you know) and was quarrantined and got twice daily calls from the City Office Health Department. Had to take his temperature twice a day, too.
Overkill much?
And I love Sasha's hair, too. And is that one of the dresses you made? I know I'm repeating myself but I can't believe you're in sleeveless dresses already...
Great photo! Glad you guys are well!
thanks for the comments! i love the photo, too, although it kind of looks like sasha's hair is on fire... LOL
the swine flu thing is silly. lots of hysteria about a whole lot of nothing. at the moment anyway. *sigh* especially since it reacts well to flu medicine. oh, and the doctor was calling from a local (munakata) health center.
heather, that is a dress i made. the weather was so lovely last weekend and earlier this week. today is quite cool, though, and it's supposed to rain....
thanks jeve :D
sounds like my ex-boyfriend and his parents (who are japanese). he just graduated college in chicago in december and then moved back to japan. well, he's going to chicago this weekend for the graduation and his parents were supposed to go with him. But since Illinois had the highest amount of cases they have decided not to go. *rolled eyes* oh brother.
I'm glad everyone is okay! Jeremy just left for Spain/Germany/Italy for two weeks and everyone I tell that to here seems surprised that he's traveling...I wonder if he's going to have to report to a doctor every day once he gets back! Wow.
I love this photo! You caught a really beautiful time of day to take a photo with your wonderful camera!
Sounds like I was lucky. I came from NZ -where there are cases of swine flu - and all I had to do was fill in a form. But maybe being in a wheelchair (back injury) had something to do with it? I got thru sooo fast!!
Anyway, sorry your brother had so much trouble.
My Dh's family is in Kobe so we're keeping an eye on the news...
