today was the beginning of the year school picnic. we all met at a big park in town, played a few games, let the children loose on the playgrounds and then had lunch. it started to rain right when everyone was finishing up lunch so getting away wasn't painful at all--everyone wanted to get out of the rain!

the kids are still recovering, and are grumpy as all get out. *sigh* i think that changing schedules are a factor in the grumpiness as well. and the freak-out mid-afternoon time is really awful. and to top it all off, it is rainy and cold.

ah well, we have lots of DVDs. and tomorrow is another day (and tomorrow is a full day of school! yay! even though, i do have to make a lunch for the two of them....)
