today hiroyuki and i went to the clinic for our one month check up. he has gained a lot of weight and is very healthy. and the pediatrician said his development is great. yay. the nurses were quite excited to see him and exlaimed over how big he has become, but then, they said that to the other mothers, so i think it just might be a set phrase. but that's ok, because he really has gotten bigger. they also gave me a memorial cdrom that has pictures they took at the hospital. included in the box is a piece of the umbilical cord. yikes! it's tucked away in a box in a bag, so i don't have to see it....

i need to take care of my own health, however, so wish me luck on losing weight and controlling my salt intake!
