which salad? one is potato salad, the other really isn't salad; it's tomatoes over cottage cheese (one of my favorites back home. putting tomatoes on japanese cottage cheese really makes the driness of the cheese better). i just added cucumbers to the bowl because i thought the meal was seriously lacking in green! LOL
also, i meant that all the dishes were from best denki (except the white bowl the soup is in. that's from the 100 yen shop.) the chopsticks are from the 100 yen shop and the chopsticks rest is a bargain find--and it's a cute daikon, so i like it!)
just a bewildered american woman stuck in japan with a husband, a boy, a girl and another little boy. if you find my sanity, you can keep it. i don't think i would know what to do with it now!

Oh man! You really do your food very Japanese style! I don't think we even own that many little bowls! LOL!
the scary thing is: everything except the soup bowl was a free gift from Best Denki!!! LOL
That looks so yummy!
What's the salad?

Ooh, cottage cheese and tomatoes- that looks great. I thought it was probably tofu.
I didn't realise the chopsticks holder was a daikon. I thought it was scissors!
