the movie opens today (is that right? do movies open on fridays in japan? well, maybe they made an exception because the last book will be released tomorrow). i am so excited! not about the movie so much (but i'm pretty sure that i'll be making yoshi stay with the kids on wednesday night so i can go see it by myself. THAT i am looking forward to.)
i've already pre-ordered my book and it should be here tomorrow!! yippity-skippity! the only thing is...i have an appointment tomorrow at my clinic and i just KNOW that the book will be delivered when i'm not here. i just hate calling the delivery people (though they aren't as bad as the post office people) and trying to express myself in japanese. but i am getting my book tomorrow! don't bother me for about a day...i know i should probaby TRY to read slow. and, yoshi is flying to hokkaido for three days (leaving sunday) so i may not have any time to myself to read. on the other hand, i read really fast and i'll just order pizza for dinner, so...
really looking forward to this book, even if it means the end to the series.

I haven`t ordered it yet as I think I might be able to get it earlier if I head to one of the 24 hour supermarkets around here. I am going to try going around midnight tonight if I can stay awake but if not, I will be at the store first thing in the morning tomorrow. I won`t have much time to read it either over the weekend but will definitely be lugging it on the tube during the week. Are you a read the ending first type or read until you get to the end? I am totally a "sneak a peek at the ending" type but I am going to try my best to resist this time.
i'm pretty good at not looking at the end, except sometimes when i'm halfway through and it seems as though the story isn't going the way i expect it to! LOL
I'm getting my copy tomorrow too. . . and we're headed out of town! ARGH! Why didn't I realize that the family vacation weekend at the lake was going to conflict with the LAST Harry Potter novel being delivered? And they're forecasting rain up at Lake Tazawako too. . . hope it gets here before we leave, then a rainy weekend in a cottage would be perfect!
