this was today's lunch. even though there's a lot to be said about kneading, i just don't have time these days. the breadmaker makes wonderful dough, it's delicious!
it only takes 45 minutes to make pizza dough, and then maybe another 30 to make (one) pizza (the recipe makes enough dough for two small pizzas.) awesome!

this looks so delicious!!!
That looks really really yummy!!!
Yum yum. Bread maker - definately on my list of things to buy when I have the space on my bench. Would love to wake up to the smell of fresh bread. Two months in NZ though and I may feel the need to be having real bread sooner. What kind have you got and what are the specs?? Expensive? What other fancy tricks can it do? Topping off mother in laws would be a good feature.
wow looks yum!!!!!!
I didn't know you could make pizza dough in a breadmaker... but I'm just behind the times it seems!
Bet it smelled heavenly!
GW, we have a national brand bread maker. it was more than 2 man, but it can make udon/pasta as well as mix up mochi (which made the price higher. i would LOVE to make pasta, but i can't find any durham (??) flour nearby.)
it's an investment and i worry about not using it someday (as in, stop making bread all together) because so many friends have told me it's the one household appliance they don't use as much as they expected.
it's been great, though, for the past two and a half months we've had it. sometimes i've been too tired to set it up for morning bread, but i think we've used it enough to justify the price. and now that i can easily make pizza dough, which is delicious, i think i'll use it more. :)
oh my goodness! That pizza looks soooo good! I'm thinking of pulling out my bread machine from the depths that is my corner cabinet.
That pizza looks delicious!!! : )
I want one too! Thanks for the info...will have a word with DH I think!!
I use my bread machine for making pizza dough too. I love my machine. Mine is Zojirushi and I got it from Tengu. It is fabulous at whole wheat bread. It was expensive, but I have had mine for about 3 years and even if I never use it again I have more than gotten my money's worth. Aside from the yummy homemade bread with no fuss or muss, pizza dough is my second favorite. I make extra and then throw it in the freezer.
The biggest problem I have with my machine is trying to stay stocked with bread and whole wheat flour since I go through it so fast.
