professional games in japan are....interesting. i wouldn't say they're more exciting, because it's a baseball game (baseball, like most sports except maybe american football, are more exciting if you play it, not just watch.) it is different than in the US, though, noisier for sure. and the stadium food is different. i mean, would you eat ramen at a mariner's game? (i don't know, maybe they offer ramen in safeco field these days...)

the seventh inning is different, too, where the team's theme song (THEME SONG!!) is sung and then noisy balloons are released. even the away team gets a chance to do this at the beginning of the inning. here is fukuoka SOFTBANK HAWKS' theme song:
