yesterday yoshi suddenly got sent on a business trip to shimane. which will last until tomorrow. *sigh* the kids and i went to the mall to meet up with friends yesterday, but today we pretty much just stayed at home and relaxed. tomorrow we will go to a baseball game, i only hope yoshi will be home in time to join us. these last minute business trips are annoying, but oh well. nothing to be done about it i guess.

how do you find the time illahee with 3 kids under foot to crochet? Are you a night owl or are those lovely roses produced with tommy on your lap and sasha and hiro at your feet??
Damn the work trips. Hub has drinking thing tonight and was going to come home at six to get changed - the busiest kiddy time. I have bannished him to get changed in his car on the way. If you can't stay and help then don't come and get the kids hopes up!! Mean mummy. Grrrrrrr

When the kids get a bit more managable we will be able to meet up once a month for G&T saturday afternoons while our hubs do the parental thing!
crochet really goes so quickly. i can do a rose in about an hour...with the kids around. usually i try to do it during nap time (or, tommy naps while sasha and hiro play together. i get interrupted a lot, but i get a rose or two done a day.
i can get more done during my 'free time' on the weekends. this project is easy to carry around because each square isn't very big. i have to make seventy squares, though, so i am sure this project will take a long time (i only have ten completed squares so far.)
but then i'll have to sew them together, then crochet the border...i might have to carve some time out for myself then...
i hear ya on the 'don't come home if you're not going to stay'. well, as long as the kids are awake. once they see him it's all over--they get so excited and don't want to go to bed! fine, if he's going to be here to help calm them down. i would have done the same thing. guess i'm a mean mommy, too!
i am in for a G&T weekend. girl's night out!!
