Yummy! Those vines get out of control so quickly. Would you like me to send you some evil orange bugs to keep them under control? We have plenty! But your neighborhood will probably be happy to have plenty of kabocha, and the flowers are rather pretty, aren't they? I think our kabocha vines managed to stay above the flood lines. We will see how they fare over the enxt few days.
Ok, I'm moving to Kyushu. My pumpkin is marble sized at the moment- yup I only have one, too. And the plant is teeny, too. Fighting a life and death battle with aphids. And I love pumpkin...
OH my word!!!! I want a pumpkin patch. It's just really killing me now looking at your garden and knowing I don't have one. Maybe On pay day I'll buy a tomato or a zuke plant.
Your pumpkin looks great. I really like eating, kabocha.
I remember how easily pumpkins grew in my Mum's flower garden after the seeds fell in there...maybe I could even grow some...hmm...
