here is the batch i made yesterday. as you can see, the sugar and 'plums' have separated already. it was much prettier yesterday. actually, blue lotus wrote a fabulous post last year if you're interested in making your own. it's quite easy, not too expensive and makes a delicious liqueur. it (ideally) takes a year to mature, though i think you can start drinking it in two or three months after it's made. the first time i made this, i got pregnant with hiro the following winter so i had to wait a long time to try my first batch! lol
