today we went to the city to meet up with friends. i certainly had a great time, chatting chatting chatting which is always great! the kids had fun, too, especially my little climber tommy, who seems intent on climbing anything he can get his hands on! gonna give me a heart attack!

after we got home (just in time to meet hiro at the bus, thank goodness!) i made some umeshu. i love the way it looks just made: layers of ume and sugar, and the white liquor makes it look so pretty. now i don't have to worry about having any umeshu next year!

nothing much else going on. another overcast day *sigh* rainy season is here, isn't it?
