alternative title: it's like spaghetti but with lots of cheese. that means lasagna for dinner.
this morning we had planned on going to mr. donut, but for some reason feelings were running toward the high-strung, mainly sasha screaming for no freakin' reason. so, we didn't go. hiro really understood this time, that the behavior of others affects him. poor guy. :( and tommy was asking to mr. donut and had a melt-down when i had to tell him no. poor us. :(
the weather is crap so we can't even go to a park. this summer sucks hard. i'm curious, those who are in japan: are they bemoaning the slow beer sales (assuming slow beer sales, though i am unaware of how the rest of japan is doing weather-wise. everyone else have fricken rain?) like they did four years ago (or so)? so funny, with the weather forecast there would be a beer mug and so much discussion on how little beer was being sold that year. priorities, right?! anyway, cabin fever central around here. time to break out the costumes, i think...
another fairly uneventful day here. always a blessing (except for the screaming. for the love of all that's holy, let's cut back on the screaming!)

Sending you waves of SILENCE - at least no screaming, anyway! Day 7 means only 5 more weeks? You are a warrior! I'm debating the effectiveness of showers. Sweat before and after, so...what's the point? Maybe we should just stay IN the shower!?!
Don't get too excited(coz it may just be LIES!) but the forecast is looking better for the next week in Kyushu....no rain and even sunshine they say.Yippe Dooo....washing wont smell so moudly and crappy any more and we can go out again. But that said,we can't believe anything until we see it eh!
They outgrow the screaming. Mine did...
Just saw the forecast for the rest of the week here- on Sunday 'you may be able to go out without an umbrella' wow. something to look forward to, hey? I can't believe you have 6 weeks holiday- is it an international kinder? We have 6 days here (and they're optional- you can send your kid anyway) and even the schools only get 20 days. I think Nagano is one of the stingiest places to be a kid around. Fingers crossed the screaming stops!
kim, this is week two. i'm not counting the weekend days (yet...) hiro will start school again on september 1. not. soon. enough. LOL poor hiro.
Ahhh poor you! 3 kids is enough but any of the screaming wil send you mad! Hoping tomorrow brings less rain and more sweet silence and napping.
Haven't seen all the beer adds this year but did you know there is a 100 yen happoshu out on the market now.
I had to ignore scream free parenting techniques the other morning - but then Shou had openened the front door after a zillion requests not to, leading to hub running out door and catching Marina about a metre away from the torential river in the pissing rain.
Here in Osaka the weather has picked up so hopefully the sunshine is on it's way to you too. (With no kiddie entertaining needing done here, I'd happily settle for the rain!)
If it's not cold, dress them in some old clothes and let them play outside in the rain and mud - at least they'll have fun for a while and possibly need a nap at the end too.
