so, the other morning yoshi says, 'did you know the butterfly came out?' so we all rushed to the genkan to look. yep, sure enough, there's a butterfly. and, just as i suspected, it's a boring orange and black. but pretty cool nonetheless. i got it to come out and stay on my finger.



then hiro was brave enough to get it to cling to his hand.









he really enjoyed holding the butterfly and it was difficult to get him back inside to prepare for school. later on, when we left to go to the bus stop the butterfly had gone across the street. hiro ran over to it to look, then waved goodbye when we walked down the street....
