so, the post i *wanted* to write yesterday...
my kids are really very sweet. even though the bicker and fight a lot, i think they love each other very much. on saturday tommy tripped and fell on the street outside out house, and sasha came running for me, shouting that tommy was hurt. i scooped him up and sat on the front steps with him, and sasha made appropriate sympathetic sounds and patted him on the back. aw, poor tommy! oh! you have a scratch! poor tommy!
and tommy loves sasha very much, too. sometimes he'll just give her a hug out of no where. and, she usually hugs him back. ok, now kiss! and he gives her a kiss. tommy also says, 'love mommy.' or, love daddy, love sasha, love hiro....he's very sweet and loves everyone. he knows how to make his opinion known (especially if someone is trying to take a toy away from him!) so he's not a pushover, but he loves everyone!
hiro is not quite as affectionate with his siblings, but he does play with them (especially sasha) and they get along very well. and, he often says, 'i love mommy. give me a hug.' then he gives me a hug and a kiss.
sasha often says, 'i don't like daddy. i don't like hiro tommy. i like mommy.' then i get big hugs and a kiss from sasha. i think that she loves us all, but as i've probably mentioned a thousand times before, sasha loves me more than anyone and needs to be with me all the time. i'm not complaining. much. (i was alone for a very long time, since junior high really, so i'm used to doing things on my own. not totally alone, but i didn't always have a friend to hang out with. it can be overwhelming to be needed so much....)
well, anyway, that's me gushing about my children. hopefully this feeling will stick with me today, day ten on my own with three small children who may or may not have chicken pox....

It's good to sit down and take stock of the positives even though it's can be hard to see when kids are having a bad day. Hope today is a good one with no chicken-pox!
They are so sweet. I know they must adore and love each other and their parents. You and Yoshi are such great parents! I respect so many choices you have made.
That's so cute! It sounds like they have a good balance of bickering and love! My hubby is the oldest with a younger sister and brother and they all get along really well now, let's hope your 3 keep it up!
That is sweet. I have one very cuddly kid full of smooches and kisses and one less inclined to do it, too. I wonder how the dynamics will change again when Sasha goes to kinder...
omg this post made me want to have a third baby..... crazy I have been reading you since before Tommy was born I think Sasha was 1...
I think you can shelf the siblings without rivalry book. I asked marina for a hug this morning and she hit me in the face!! And she isn't even old enough to ground or take her pocket money away from her yet. Get Sasha to send her some of her 'I love mummy to death' ness please.
Not fair you had an extra day yesterday without hub at home. Does that mean that this sunday you get to leave them all at home with daddy while you go out?
Aaaaa, that would be so nice.
