we didn't have a very eventful weekend. unless you count getting a bed as an event. finally, finally, i don't have to sleep on the floor any more. well, that is, until after we get the bed (delivered sept. 5), and then find sheets for it. *sigh* it's kind of an odd size, and i don't know how to find some sheets. it's 'queen' sized, the the sheets i find aren't quite big enough. sizes are standard, right? but if the sheets are too short or too long then they aren't going to stay put, right? *sigh* if only one could order furniture from IKEA, then one could probably get sheets that fit. right? ah well.
i also put together our BBQ that we bought last year. it took a while, and my muscles were cramping, but it's a nice BBQ! yay.

It is so great to have a bed- yippee for you guys! The sheet thing was a problem for us- we ended dropping a bit of cash at a Ralph Lauren in one of the Tenjin Dept. My sister sent some sheet sets from Canada but the best deal was actually at Aeon (do you have that place in Kyushu). Ironically, the sheets look very similar to the RL ones but 1/10 the price. Anyways, check the cheaper type family stores. I will keep my eyes open around here if I see anything. Hmmm...wonder if Costco/ flying pig has anything?
Congrats on the bed! That's pretty great news! : )
I have a queen size too, so hopefully I can help.: ) Costco has flannel queen sized sheets every winter for queen. Also, not sure if they are near you, but in Chiba there is a place called. Nitori. Maybe they have online ordering, I am not sure. but they have a good assortment of queen sized sheets, both top and bottom, fitted and flat. Also Nissen has many queen sized sheets and for *very* excellent prices. And you can order online at Nissen. Finally, rakutan (sp?) has places to buy queen sized sheets as well. Hope this helps! And congrats again on the bed! : )
thanks for the tips. the thing is, the measurements are throwing me off...the mattress is actually two small single mattresses. *sigh* i am checking the measurements on the packages and they seem off from what the mattress will be. i've already checked nitori (where we bought the bed), nafco 2-1 style, a futon shop and costco. i tried checking jc penney online, but they don't have the sheets' dimensions on the site...
Hi again, Illahee, I'm going to email you now.... because I got my bed from Nitori too, he he! Email coming now! LOL. : )
